HOW DOES THIS WORK?
It's pretty easy. Contact us first so we can help guide you in preparing your videotapes and/or photos to be sent. Once you're ready, you'll safely load up your media into a shipping box and mail to us. Once we receive the tapes, it typically takes less then 2 weeks to complete the digitization process.
WHAT KINDS OF TAPES AND PHOTOS CAN I HAVE CONVERTED?
Videotapes: VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS-C, Digital8, Hi8, 8mm, MiniDV, MiniCD, MiniDVD
Photos: any kind of printed photo. We don't currently offer digitization for film negatives.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
It typically takes less than two weeks once we receive your videotapes. We'll stay in contact with you throughout the process.
WHAT DO I GET BACK?
When the digitization is complete, we will make all of your digital media available in the Cloud for download and will mail back your videotapes and/or photos, and any additional items you added on (DVD, USB Thumb Drive, etc).
WHAT IF ONE OF MY TAPES IS BLANK, DAMAGED, OR CANNOT BE CONVERTED?
Occasionally we receive tapes that are blank or unplayable. If we encounter a tape like this, we will contact you and let you know. And of course, there is no charge for that tape.
WHAT FORMAT AND RESOLUTION DO YOU CONVERT THE VIDEOTAPES AND PHOTOS TO?
Videotapes: we convert videotapes to the MP4 (MPEG-4) file format. The resolution of the video files is typically 480p (DVD quality).
Photos: we convert photos to JPG format. Please advise if a different format is desired.
What are the shipping options? It's up to you which shipping company you want to use to ship the videotapes to us, but we highly recommend mailing with a tracking number.
Do you accept orders from outside the continental US? Unfortunately no, not at this time.
WHERE AND HOW DO I PAY?
There's no upfront payment. We don't collect payment for the services until we complete the digitization work for you.
Payment can be made via Paypal, Venmo, CashApp or other online payment methods. I also accept checks.
